Registration issues:

Some folks are unable to get past the cart and on to PayPal. Some internet browsers are detecting something – it may not like our logo, or it may not like the fact that our website vendor tracks the number of visits to our website – so your browser won’t let you proceed. If you unlock that rule, your cart appears, and you can press the PayPal button, and be sent to the very secure PayPal website. We all can rest assured that your sensitive information is safe with PayPal. You just need to remember when you are done, to lock that rule back up!

How do you unlock your browser?

First of all, go ahead and electronically register. Answer the questions. Provide your nametag information and dietary restrictions. After you “add to cart”, click on “proceed to checkout.” You will end up on a blank page with just the society header and the word “cart.”

If you are using Firefox as your browser, you will notice a yellow triangle next to the padlock icon on the url/address bar.

--Click on your padlock.

--It will say the connection is not secure. Click on the right arrow next to that.

--Click on “Disable protection for now.”

--Everything in your cart will magically appear. Make any corrections. Click on the PayPal button, and you will be sent to the very secure PayPal site. Pay with your credit card.

--Closing out of your browser should reset the rule, and the yellow padlock will appear next time you access a page not deemed secure.

If you are using Chrome as your browser, you will see a shield with a red box on the right side of your url/address bar.

--Click on your shield.

--Click on “load unsafe scripts.”

--Everything in your cart will magically appear. Make any corrections. Click on the PayPal button, and you will be sent to the very secure PayPal site. Pay with your credit card.

--Remember to go back to your shield, and lock it up again. Usually, closing out of Chrome and reentering Chrome resets your shield, so you will be protected the next time you access a page not deemed secure.

If you are using Microsoft Edge, you will see “not secure” on the left side of the url/address bar and a line drawing of a shield and a certificate on the right.

--Click on that shield/certificate logo.

--It will say ‘You are only seeing secure content.” Click on “Show all content.”

--Everything in your cart will magically appear. Make any corrections. Click on the PayPal button, and you will be sent to the very secure PayPal site. Pay with your credit card.

--Exit your browser, and the security should be reset. The shield/certificate logo will appear the next time you access a page not deemed secure.
