Publications: ASCLS members are kept informed through three society publications. The Connection is a North Dakota newletter that is published 3 times a year and provides timely updates and well as informative articles to keep our ND members informed. Clincical Laboratory Science is an award winning, bi-monthly journal featuring articles on the very latest researce, education and goverrnment actions affecting the profession. ASCLS Today, our national newsletter, is published 12 times a year.
Networking Opportunities: One of the important benefits to members of ASCLS is our regional state and local meetings. These gatherings provide scientific and technical continuing education sessions, as well as networking opportunities with local and regional colleagues.
Governmental Affairs: As new laws and regulations bring momentous changes to clinical laboratory science, your ASCLS membership provides you with liasions to Members of Congress, Federal and state agencies. Our government affairs team monitors and influences laws and regulations that affect the profession. This dedicated team, coupled with extensive grassroots involvement from the membership, ensures that the concerns of the profession are heard in Congress.
 
Professional (full voting privileges)
Membership in the Professional category is open to all persons certified or engaged in the practice and/or education process of the clinical laboratoy science, including those with an active interest in supporting the purposes of the Society. Membership benefits are dependent on the level of membership:
Professional I
Includes basic benefits plus the award winning journal, Clinical Laboratory Science
Professional II
Includes basic benefits only

Plus State Dues - $5
Collaborative (non-voting privileges)
Available to any individual who currently holds membership in any other health related national organization and has never been a member of ASCLS.
    National Dues Only: $35
First Year Professional
Open to persons who have graduated within the last 12 months from an accredited program in laboratory science. Prior student membership with ASCLS is not a prerequisite. This membership status is valid for only one year to assist recent graduates. After one year in this category, members are upgraded to Professional membership

Plus State Dues - $5
Student
Open to persons enrolled in a structured program of training or academic instruction in clinical laboratory science, or to a full-time graduate student in related science area.
    National Dues: $25
Plus State Dues - $5
